The Pateroks are a loving, multi-generational family. They lead a peaceful life not devoid of elements of humour. This harmonious reality is suddenly disturbed by a crack: grandfather Gerard starts acting weird, disobeying conventions and going against social norms. This turns out to mark the first symptoms of his Alzheimer’s. How are the protagonists going to deal with this diagnosis? Gerard’s intensifying disease puts family relations to a great test, while revealing hidden tensions, secrets and grudges.
