She is originally from Jelenia Gora, where she has been working in primary education for many years. Graduate of the Faculty of Pedagogy at the University of Wroclaw. Constantly searching for truth and values, trying to kindly inspire children and young people to such a search.
SYLWIA MOTYL
Culture manager, graduate of Cultural Studies at the University of Wrocław. Juror of the main competition and the ‘Zawleczka’ independent cinema competition at the National Comedy Film Festival in Lubomierz, member of the jury at the Cinemasuono Festival in Cervia (Italy), selector for the the OKFA National Independent Film Competition (Konin). Selector, programmer and director of the ZOOM – ZBLIŻENIA International Film Festival. Member of the international Grand Off World Independent Film Awards Jury and the Jan Machulski Awards Jury. Director of the Culture Centre ‘Zameczek’ in Jelenia Góra. Organiser of numerous cultural projects, including the Jelenia Góra Antiques and Curiosities Fair, Children’s and Youth Theatre Confrontations – TEATRRRAŁKI, FILMOKRĘGI, KINO NIE ZNA GRANIC, PRZYSTANEK TEATR.
In 2014, she received the honorary badge of Merit to Polish Culture awarded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Winner of the Golden Key (2015) – an award granted by the Jelenia Góra News Foundation “for her cultural achievements and the success of the MFF ZOOM – ZBLIŻENIA over the years.‘ Finalist of the ’Person of the Year” poll (2018) – organised by the Jelenia Góra News Foundation. In 2019, she received the ‘UNICA’ Gold Medal from the International Union of Amateur Film.
